Description
"BLIND DATE WITH FISH DINNER", is an expression of the experience of going out on a blind date. I have met people that could not look at this painting because it made them feel scared! I would respond, "You should be scared, it's about blind dates!".
The background of swirls represents the feelings that one gets in their stomach before meeting their blind date. The mask is our "Social Mask" that we wear when first meeting someone new. The fork and knife with eyes are symbolic of our tools of how we perceive the surface of the person before cutting deeper into who they really are. The bones are a dream that conveys prosperity and investing into this venture. Then, there are the eyes hiding behind fish bones that are creating a feeling that everyone in the restaurant is watching you.
